I would say that it should be required for each person to show at least a driver's license or some kind of ID in order to vote unless there is an easy way to provide proof of citizenship, such as a voter registration card or birth certificate card.

What right does the non-citizen have to enter this country illegally and then take up residence. They have not paid into the social security, served in the military, or even earned the right to the benefits of our governing system. How about the loss of lives, limbs, and health that those who have served to help support the freedoms of this country and it flag plus the govenrment as stated in the Bill of Rights, and the words of the Founding Fathers so this is a serious issue and it should not allow the aliens to entry this country.

That would certainly cut down on the fictional characters and dead people being able to vote!

If ID is required for getting a simple library card then it most definitely must be required to show proof of Citizenship to vote.

show the citizenship is the way how to stop all of speculation about non-citizens voters..) So I agree in 100% with this.

I have a US passport, a military ID card, and a NC drivers license and only one of them proves I am a US citizen. Even my birth certificate doesn't prove I am a US citizen since I was born in Austria to a US soldier stationed there. To implement a proof of citizenship to vote would mean eliminating absentee ballots. It would eliminate the right to vote for our military deployed in defense of that very right and privilege.
